Caroline learnt to dive in Paphos 12 years ago and after diving extensively in Limassol over many years she feels this would be an ideal location to undertake some of our research in a marine temperate environment. What better place to develop AMCAI than the place that first introduced her to the marine environment and grabbed her imagination and inspiration to undertake her undergraduate and postgraduate studies followed by the formation of AMCAI?

The proposed AMCAI activities for Cyprus, will involve conducting baseline studies carried out by scientifically trained disabled and able-bodied divers with the ultimate goal being to devise a diver training protocol for disabled divers to actively participate in underwater marine research.

Coming Events

August 2003

Planning is underway for a group of divers based in Cyprus to dive in temperate habitats with Caroline (disabled diver) working on scientific methodology with the purpose of

bulletTraining them in ecological techniques
bulletGiving them confidence in diving with disabled divers
bulletConduct an inclusive baseline study which would be used to gain feedback regarding the success of the training and adaptive protocols.
